*POSITION SUMMARY: *

Responsible for the accurate preparation and timely filing of all tax documents and all other tax matters relating to the trust and investment group.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Individual Retirement Account (IRA) working knowledge for tax purposes.
  • Maintains daily workflow in tax area as well as administrates Tax Season filing of returns and estimates by means of electronically and paper filling.
  • Prepares and reviews Tax Fiduciary Returns (Form 1041).
  • Prepares and reviews Not-For-Profit returns 990, 990EZ, 990PF.
  • Prepares and files all tax procedures for Trust Group.
  • Maintains and updates tax data files on OneSource Tax Software and SEI Trust Software.
  • Maintains and updates tax library.
  • Assists in tax return audits.
  • Develops and implements new or revised procedures as required by changing work environment.
  • Maintains proficient legal and tax accounting knowledge to effectively perform the specified duties.
  • Maintains working knowledge of trust and employee benefits systems to allow for the use of the RPBS systems in the most efficient manner in the performance of the tax duties.
  • Assists in the development of training procedures.
  • Provides support to the administrative staff and officers in the servicing of customers and addressing customer needs by providing information on changing laws and providing technical support in answering questions.
  • Communicates with customers, as needed, on the tax functions relating to their accounts.
  • Produces required internal and regulatory reports for the various tax functions.
  • Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.
  • Must understand all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with the requirements.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • Five (5) to eight (8) years experience preferred or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
  • Trust administration, Trust Operations and or Tax experience required in one or more areas.
  • Individual Retirement Account (IRA) working knowledge for tax purposes.
  • Good PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential.
  • High standards for work ethics, attendance, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to protect the confidentiality/privacy of others as appropriate, as well as of company documents and records.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to travel to all locations as well as ability to travel over night, as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc.
