Job Description

About the Role:
Perform research and analysis of project technologies to identify requirements and document data to validate the system, subsystem, software, equipment, and component compatibility
Identify and provide recommended solutions to interface problems
Review and monitor system tolerances
Perform system tests to assess performance, safety, operability, reliability, and maintainability
Review Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for impact on system interfaces IAW Government Furnished Information (GFI)
Supports the development of Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Verification and Validation (V&V) events, including operational demonstrations, for new and emerging project technologies.
Analyze the technical data (TD) required for the development of Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs) and verify that the supplied data is sufficient using TRD checklists.
Support design and engineering of Test Program Sets (TPSs) and consolidated automated support systems
Support development of test plans, test procedures, test beds, test sets, and reports as part of T&E events. Includes preparation of:
Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs)
system qualification and first-article testing
qualification test plans
production acceptance tests
evaluation plans to include Production Acceptance Test and Evaluation (PAT&E)
quality evaluation (surveillance) test plans
Conduct T&E and V&V for systems, subsystems, and components specified by the Government.
Document all test activities and results to include test plans and procedures, data collection and analyses, and written test reports.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Evaluate materials and develop machinery and processes to manufacture materials for use in products that must meet specialized design and performance specifications.
Develop new uses for known materials or works with metals, composite materials, ceramic, glass, plastics, polymers, semiconductors, naturally occurring materials, and a combination of materials or composites to create new materials that meet certain mechanical, electrical, and chemical requirements.
Duties include:
integrating system hardware
validating operations end-user performance
conducting reliability analysis
building rapid prototypes
supporting tests
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
US Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain DoD Security Clearance
Bachelor’s of Science degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or another closely related field preferred
5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area
Master’s of Science degree in Industrial or Mechanical engineering with undergraduate degrees in Industrial engineering or Mechanical engineering preferred, or another closely related field
Experience conducting T&E and V&V projects
Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
Able to use extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Able to lead and direct the work of others
Seasoned technical individual contributor
Works independently with limited supervision
Able to manage projects/processes
Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals
Able to resolve difficult and sometimes complex problems
Effective communicator able to influence others regarding system design, solutions, and procedures
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Active DoD SECRET clearance
DAWIA Mfg Level I highly desired
12+ years of experience in the field or in a related area
