The Jobs for Americas Graduates (JAG) program is a state-based, national non-profit program dedicated to helping high school students who have experienced challenging or traumatic life experiences achieve success through graduation. JAG is a resiliency-building workforce program that helps students learn in-demand employability skills and provides a bridge to post-secondary education and career advancement opportunities.This position serves multiple functions designed to support the six JAG programs in: Austin, Scottsburg, West Washington, New Albany, Clarksville, and Jeffersonville High Schools. Job duties of this role center around working in the classroom with juniors and seniors, as well as data entry. Work priorities and schedules are primarily determined by workload and deadlines. While a regular schedule will try to be maintained, the nature of this part-time position requires flexibility. The primary function in this role is to serve as a floater substitute/assistant between the six high schools in order to provide relief for and to assist current JAG Specialists in the execution of their duties. This individual will serve as a substitute JAG Specialist during times when JAG Specialists need to take time off, participate in training, or to work individually with current or follow up students. This individual will also assist with lesson creation and implementation. A background in education or group facilitation is preferred.Other classroom duties include:Assist with teaching students in a classroom setting using techniques to provide work-based learning (or project-based learning). Following and/or developing lesson plans that may be executed in person or virtually using tools like Google Classroom and Google Meets. Tailoring assignments and teaching methods for the needs of each specific student (as needed). Mentoring youth by providing model behavior, structure, advice, and support. Administering various forms of testing/assessment and interpreting results for each student. Following Individual Employment Plan for students (which establish career goals, program services, training, and activities.) Assist youth with writing and revision of job search paperwork, including employment applications, cover letters, resumes, reference letters, thank you letters, as well as providing practice interviews and networking tips. Performs related duties as assigned.The other primary function of this position is to provide support for the JAG Specialists in completing case management and documentation. Provide data entry into two data management systems (Indiana Career Connect (ICC), and into JAGs data management system, e-NDMS) with accuracy and timeliness from paperwork and documentation received from JAG Specialists. Assists with maintaining proper documentation of youths information, activities, and case notes entered into data information system, ensuring compliance and performance. Supports the JAG Specialist in providing follow-up services to evaluate clients progress and program effectiveness.Assists with maintaining files and computer databases ensuring proper documentation are available to support program eligibility, gateway activities, and services received. Assists youth in utilizing computers, including internet, career software programs, and printers.Assists with the preparations of daily and monthly reports, documenting accomplishments.Attend staff meetings and maintain regula
