Acadia Healthcare Unit Supervisor in Indianapolis, Indiana

Position Summary:

  • Oversees the operations of individual units to ensure proper implementation of the policies and procedures from a clinical aspect of day-to-day operations. Provides direction to milieu staff in regard to basic job duties, with special emphasis placed on effective quality of care being provided to all residents.

  • Responsible to know the policies, procedures, and regulations concerning youth care, supervisory techniques, and personnel policies. Exercises considerable independent judgment to adapt and apply facility and state guidelines to specific situations.

  • Unit Supervisor is accountable to ensure the safety of residents, staff, and the building at all times. Unit Supervisors role model correct de-escalation techniques by utilizing Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and DBT interventions as the specific situation arises.

  • Knows, understands, models and coaches YCSs with the use of proper crisis intervention including TCI protocols.

Works as an hourly employee in accordance with established policies as outlined in the employee handbook. The employee in this position is expected to give a four week notice prior to voluntary resignation. A probationary period of 90 days is required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in a social services field; Associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience; High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of related experience

  • Must possess a current and active driver’s license in the State of Indiana

  • Minimum 21 years of age.

  • Verbalizes and / or show knowledge of the agency’s policy of special precautions
