We're searching for a seasonal team of full and part-time bartenders to help with Miracle on South Street , a Christmas-themed pop-up cocktail bar that serves holiday cocktails in a festive setting. That setting will be on the plaza just outside of Plat 99 at The Alexander Hotel, in a giant tent crammed with Christmas Cheer.
While you're mixing modern drinks like the Christmapolitan and Jingle Balls Nog, guests will enjoy classic snacks like cheeseballs and sliders.
You'll be required to attend a two-hour orientation November 12, as well as some training days the week of November 12. We’d love a commitment of one shift per week, and Miracle on South Street opens daily starting Friday November 23 through Monday December 24 .

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Performs complete bar setup, including ice, garnish,glassware, etc.
Welcomes and greets all customers in the bar in a courteous,helpful manner and by name.
Ensures all customers have proper I.D. and are over 21 yearsof age.
Follows alcohol awareness procedures for preventingintoxication and deals with intoxicated guests.
Knows all drink recipes and menu and prices to effectivelypromote to guests.
Performs duties in accordance with established companypolicies for drink size, recipe, and proper glassware.
Mixes all orders for alcoholic beverages, using appropriateglassware / stemware.
Completes assigned sidework and performs other duties asinstructed by the Manager.
Practices “clean as you go” techniques of service for the bararea.
Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies andprocedures.
Maintains current knowledge of hotel culture, amenities, andservices, events in the area, points of interest, and services in thearea.
High school education, GED, or equivalent experience.
Must have at least 2 years of previous bartending experience.
Must be able to be TIPS certified upon hiring.
Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages.
Requires knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits as well as their preparation and presentation keeping updated on new and revised beverage recipes.
Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner.
Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers in English.
Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
Must be able to abide by the company appearance standards and compliance with the designated uniform.
Dedicated to exceeding service standards and providing services and standards to the highest caliber.
Must be able to work variable shift, weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.
Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend and use hands to handle objects, tools or controls.
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. and work the majority of shift on feet.
Frequently is required to talk or hear.
