Applied Composites Maintenance Technician in Indianapolis, Indiana

JOB SUMMARYThe Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains assigned manufacturing related equipment throughout the facility in accordance with standard procedures, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies. Performs a wide variety of skilled work across multiple-functions and operations of the preventive maintenance system. This individual will possess strong mechanical aptitude, energetic and positive demeanor.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBLITIES/FUNCTIONS Performs maintenance service and repairs on assigned equipment Troubleshoots, inspects, repairs, replaces and maintains existing mechanical systems and associated equipment including air compressors, air dryers, dehumidifiers, cooling towers, etc. Facilitates and accurately follows specific detailed operational instructions and prints for jobs and setup operations Administers the preventive maintenance system and provides required reports Determines preventative maintenance requirements for new equipment and educates and trains equipment operators to perform routine maintenance Maintains a safe and effective work area/environment and use appropriate personal protective and safety equipment Organize maintenance inventory and maintenance records. Supports the Facilities Function as needed Other responsibilities as assigned Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessaryInformation Management:Treats all information and data within the organization and scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security at all times.Risk Management: Cooperates fully in all risk management activities and investigations. Reports promptly any suspected or potential violations to laws, regulations, procedures, policies and practices, and cooperates in related investigation. Conducts all transactions in compliance with all company policies, procedures, standards and practices. Demonstrate knowledge of all applicable compliance and legal requirements of the job based on the scope of practice of the position.Safety Requirements:Is knowledgeable of, observes and complies with Codes of Safe Practice, safety policies and emergency procedures.GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND CONDITION OD EMPLOYMENTMinimum Position Qualifications:Education:Requires a High School Diploma/GED or combination of relevant education and work experience may be substituted to meet educational requirements.Experience: Vocational training, apprenticeships, or the equivalent experience in related field Four (4) years relevant work experience Working knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical components and equipmentComputer Skills:Advanced knowledge and proficiency in all MS Word, Access and Excelapplications requiredKnowledge / Skills / Abilities: Familiar with reading and interpreting documents, schematics, and blueprints Able to recognize and solve typical problems from established operating procedures and/or scientific methods Experience in operating forklifts and other powered equipment Work within a team environment and able to adapt to changes in work requirements Lift 50-75 pounds regularly Work outside in the elements occasionally Capable to climb ladders and maintain balance Standing for long periods of time Crouching, kneeling, bending, and reaching Familiarity and experience with power tools Excellent customer service skillsBenefits:At Applied Composites, we recognize how important your career and benefits are to you and your family.
