We are looking for an enthusiastic Kids Activities Supervisor who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and encouraging kids to stay physically active and intellectually engaged in their areas of passion. A typical day for a Kids Activities Supervisor could include:

  • Training and supervising Kids team members

  • Scheduling instructors for sports and martial arts classes

  • Helping plan and execute healthy Child Center activities

  • Attending a staff meeting

  • Assisting with a Birthday Party

  • Promoting School Break and Summer Camps

Job Description

As the Kids Activities Supervisor, you'll assist the Department Head with the day-to-day operations of the Child Center. You'll help manage and lead a group of team members who are responsible for providing a fun, entertaining, engaging, educational and safe environment for our Life Time Junior Members. Activities will feature a variety of interactive, educationaland/or fitness-based programs that kids can enjoy while their parents work out or go to a LifeSpa appointment. And by consistently delivering high-quality customer service and promoting classes and special events, you will help grow and retain Kids Memberships.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, clean and organized child care area

  • Personally engage children in interactive activities that include storytelling, organized arts & crafts, singing and games while ensuring other team members also engage children at all times

  • Assist with ensuring team members initiate, develop and maintain personalized relationships with members and their children

  • Promote and sell all children's programs, including birthday parties and summer camp

  • Assist with managing the Child Center programs and events within budgetary guidelines

  • Immediately report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors or abuse relating to youth


  • High School diploma or GED

  • At least one year of childcare experience

  • One year of supervisory experience preferred

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

  • First Aid certification required within the first 60 days of hire

  • Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire

Other Requirements

At Life Time, the safety of our Junior Members is a top priority. Applicants must complete all state or federal requirements prior to their first day of directly working with children or within another specified timeframe. Requirements vary by state and may include, but are not limited to:

  • Physical

  • Tuberculosis test

  • All required vaccinations (or signed exemption)

  • Fingerprints taken by a local police department for a background check

  • Background checks required by state specific child care licensing laws in addition to a Life Time background check

  • Continuing education courses for continued employment in working with children
