Central Restaurant Products Controller - Distribution - Global in Indianapolis, Indiana

As a member of the Management Team, this position oversees the day-to-day operations of Accounting, Accounts Payable, budgeting/forecasting, and financial reporting. Works closely with team members of other departments and interacts with members of the Corporate Accounting team of our German parent company. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, excellent communication skills and demonstrated abilities to achieve results.Central Restaurant Products is a values based, national distribution leader in the foodservice equipment and supplies industry. We are part of a global organization with our parent company (TAKKT) located in Germany.Reporting to our VP of Finance, responsibilities include:Manage staff and day-to-day activities of AccountingSupervise monthly closing of general ledger in accordance with U.S. GAAPCoordinates annual external audit and interim parent auditsMaintains internal control system and documentationEnsures timely filing of sales tax returnsOversees timely payment of vendors and realization of early pay discountsPrepares monthly profit/loss statement and balance sheet in accordance with parent company's reporting guidelinesManages completion of parent company's weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirementsCompletes monthly variance analysis for actual results versus budget, prior year and forecastConducts root cause analysis and develops countermeasures for KPI's not meeting targetPrepares monthly presentation of results to management teamAnalyzes capital expenditure requests for financial return.Assists VP of Finance with annual budgeting and forecasting processesCompletes annual budget presentation in accordance with parent company's requirementsDevelops monthly budgets that reflect seasonality and meet annual budgetAfter each month-end, creates monthly EBITDA forecast for remainder of year as well as monthly forecast for key balance sheet items such as working capital and capex.Completes cash flow monthly forecast for key business processesIdentifies opportunities to improve processes to increase productivity, increase staff's job satisfaction and creates time for additional value add activitiesModels our company values dailyRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with CPA designation required8+ years relevant experience including 4+ years as a Controller or Accounting Manager requiredExperience with $100M+ business preferredDistribution and international experience a plusSAP experience a plusRelentless desire to understand business results and improve performanceProven track record of achieving resultsTeam player with strong interpersonal skillsContinuous improvement mindsetSolid business acumenExperience building financial modelsExperience querying databases for reporting and analysis purposesA history of teamwork and collaborationExcellent organization skills and action-oriented mentalityExperience supervising and developing staffComfortable advancing technology for analytical and reporting purposes (i.e., digital mindset)Proficient with MS Office; advanced excel skillsWork arrangements and Benefits:Due to Covid-19 this position is required to work from home until office re-opensOnce office re-opens remote work is possibleI-Phone and service plan providedWe will provide you with laptop, monitors and all necessary office suppliesMedical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance with option to fund a Health Savings Account401(k) with company matchCompetitive compensation commensurate with experienceEmployee Bonus planPaid volunteer dayCentral Restaurant Products is an equal opportunity / affirmative action employer (Minorities/Females/Disability/Veterans) committed to a diverse workforce
