Overview:

We are opening a Welding pooling job for code welders to apply to support scheduled industrial projects for the 2018 spring and fall outage seasons.

Summary:

We are looking to hire experienced Code Welders to support our industrial projects for industries like Power Generation, Pulp & Paper, Refinery, Petro-Chemical, Chemical, and other industrial rotating equipment environments. A high priority for FieldCore in

2018 are Code Welders with experience on Industrial Boiler projects. Field Service employees enjoy flexible and consistent work assignments; career progression, and reward and recognition are central to our culture.

These positions are for work in the US and are for Legally authorized to work in the US candidates. You must be able to pass a drug test and background check. Some of the physical requirements of this position are traveling / field service job that requires

you to be able to be away from home for extended periods of time, shift work, the ability to lift safely a minimum of 50 pounds, perform physical work-related activities, and wear personal safety protection equipment (PPE).

Types of Certified Welding:

  • WELDING TYPES: Stick, MIG, TIG

  • WELDING POSITIONS: All position welding flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead positions (6G)

  • MATERIALS: Heavy Steel, Carbon / Stainless Steel, Boiler Tubes (Thick Wall), Inconel, Aluminum

  • CERTIFICATION(s): ASME, AWS and / or API

  • Code Welder Experience and Duties:

  • Use a wide range of welding filler metals and welding processes to perform welds on Gas and Steam Turbines, piping, expansion bellows, in boilers, tanks, and various pressure vessels and maintenance applications

  • Review layouts, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, welding procedures or oral instructions in preparation for welding or cutting metal components

  • Understanding of pre-, post-heat and stress relieve techniques and requirements

  • Experience with AWS, ASME and/or API codes

  • Use oxyfuel burn, plasma burn, grind and/or air arc metal as required

  • Ability to identify process issues and offer solutions

  • Ability to communicate verbal and written as required

  • Must be team focused

  • Able and willing to perform other types of Mechanical job duties that are necessary to support the team and complete the project.
