YMCA of Greater Indianapolis Aquatics Director in Indianapolis, Indiana
Under the direction of the Executive Director this position will supervise thei development of the aquatic department. This position is primarily responsible for working with the physical education and program-related committees relating to aquatics within the Center and Association. The position will include the development and administration of the department; programi development and promotion, implementation and evaluation, staff scheduling, training andi supervision, monitoring safety practices and adherence to standards and financial operation in accordance with Center and Association goals, objectives and policies. Unique to this YMCA is the partnership with Westfield Washington Schools. iWWS owns the Natatorium and has entered into an agreement with the YMCA, and as such the YMCA has certain responsibilities for and certain rights to utilize the Natatorium. iThe Aquatics Director will be responsible for specific aspects of the operation and maintenance of the Natatorium, and coordinating the schedules for the use of the Natatorium.i As the Natatorium is owned by WWS, WWS has priority for scheduling time for their swim clubs, meets, practices and related activities.i The YMCA, through an agreement with WWS, will manage the daily activities and operations of the Natatorium.i Specific YMCA activities may include programs such as youth and adult swim lessons, water fitness classes, lifeguarding training, family swim time, and lap swimming.
