Lippert Components, Inc 2nd Shift - Warehouse Team Leader in Goshen, Indiana
Oversees the beam and tube material handlers, the unloading and loading of beam and tube trucks, supplying production with beam and tube, ensures all beam and tube movements are made in D365. Responsible for beam and tube yard housekeeping, performs other warehouse duties to support success of perpetual inventory, 5S and all safety policies by following established operating procedures. Monitors error log, does monthly cycle counts of beam and tube, reports it to the inventory manager. Responsible for weekly bundle counts and reports it to purchasing.
Handles day to day concerns from beam and tube material handlers.
Participates in quarterly employee reviews and evaluations.
Participates in any disciplinary actions with beam and tube material handlers
Inspect freight reported by beam and tube material handlers, follows up on documentation of damage, and reported freight claims with purchasing.
Ensures beam and tube products for transfer shipment following established procedures for packaging, crating, bundling, wrapping, strapping, and labeling.
Ensures production is receiving the correct product and quantity in a timely manner.
Visually monitor inventory levels and communicate low levels to purchasing, Inventory, and manufacturing managers as necessary.
End of month beam and tube cycle counts according to established guidelines and assist with developing actions to correct inventory problems.
Complete inventory transactions to receive and issue inventory as required.
Properly identify and locate all parts according to established procedures.
Weekly bundle counts and reports it to purchasing.
Continuous education for self to develop leadership skills and best practices to grow teams.
Promotes plant specific reward programs (STP, Wooden Nickels, etc).
Ensure compliance of all divisional and plant safety policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance of all Divisional and Plant requirements concerning assigned equipment.
The ability to operate a forklift safely is required.
Continue to grow 5S knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other team members of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of inventory and manufacturing software; Microsoft, D365, and understand the Mobile Device and scanner.
Oversees the Beam and Tube Material Handlers.
While performing duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active – while performing this job the employee is regularly standing walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee works around moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, and conveyer roller lines. In addition, the employee may be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, noise, heat, cold, and wet work while performing job duties.
This position requires Personal Protective Equipment such as work gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, cut resistant sleeves, and seasonal gear which will be provided.
Additional items required but not included are steel toed shoes or boots with metatarsal guards.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are based upon the need to support operations and production. Some Saturdays may be mandatory.
There is no travel required for this position.
Required Education and Experience
LCI issued Forklift license required.
1 to 3 years on the job training experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- 1 or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
