Under the supervision of the Operation Training Lead, the core trainer provides technical training to new hires and leads continuous training programs for current team members. The ideal candidate for this role would exhibit a safety first attitude, dependability, willingness to learn, strong work ethic, focus on quality, and ability to work on a team .
Develop training programs that meet build standards. Create and maintain training documents for departments
Provide one-on-one training for new employees
Provide training to hourly and salary team members and leaders on new job element, launch, product, and technology changes
Inspection of new and current employees’ work to quality and build standards. Make recommendations to supervisor of corrective actions and retraining
Work with supervisors to implement cross-training initiatives
Assist in the completion and integration of initial standardized work documents for production, materials, quality, and maintenance. Develop and maintain standards on the plant floor
Stay current with good training practices and other internal or corporate policies
Evaluate build process for ergonomic and other hazardous issues and follow up until they are closed
Facilitate continuous improvement activities (train, coach, support)
Replace plant team members or leaders when necessary. Support other core team members as needed (go where the work is)
Other duties as assigned
High School Diploma. Associates degree in relative discipline is preferred.
Self-starter able to work independently without close supervision
Good oral, written, presentation, and facilitation skills
Knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Work, and PowerPoint, along with basic computer skills
Working knowledge of current assembly process
Willing to work off-shifts for training
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently standing and lifting heavy objects weighing 50 to 100 pounds. The employee is constantly walking, pushing/pulling, reaching, and climbing stairs. The employee is occasionally squatting, kneeling, and using fine hand movements such as tightening screws, bolts, and securing pins. Specific vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Environmental demands include working both indoors and outdoors and is seasonally exposed to extreme temperatures.
