To perform general maintenance of facilities/equipment and complete necessary paper work associated with maintenance activities to support production requirements.
Supports safe work practices and 5S
Layout, install, and maintain a wide variety of complex equipment
Layout and/or wire a relocated, new, or rebuilt machine
Analyzing and repair of mechanical problems associated with fork trucks, air compressors, and piping systems
Troubling shooting and repair of electrical systems including motor controls and lighting circuits
Perform preventative maintenance of specific machines and equipment
Fabrication of wood and steel items
Work from and read technical and electrical schematic drawings
Perform other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or GED
Technical training in mechanical/electrical field or maintenance mechanics required.
A minimum of 3 years previous maintenance experience required; 5 to 7 years preferred.
Must have strong mechanical skills to perform repairs
Must have strong electrical skills (480,120 VAC, 24VDV)
Allen Bradley PLC/Controls experience strongly preferred
Must have a working knowledge of robots, CNC machinery, hydraulics, and pneumatically controlled equipment
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with other employees in a team environment
Must have excellent verbal communication skills, be detail oriented, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Must have demonstrated proficiency in reading blueprints, a tape measure, and basic math skills
Specific work areas may require additional certification
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently standing and lifting heavy objects weighing 50 to 100 pounds. The employee is constantly walking, pushing/pulling, reaching, and climbing stairs. The employee is occasionally squatting, kneeling, and using fine hand movements such as tightening screws, bolts, and securing pins. Specific vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Environmental demands include working both indoors and outdoors and is seasonally exposed to extreme temperatures.
