Summary/Objective
Logistics NA Truck Load Manager provides guidance on the most efficient way to ship product, inbound and outbound within and between US, MX, CA. A NA Logistics Truck Load Mgr determines the right method to ship product to allow distribution processes to streamline. By working cross-functionally, NA Logistics Truck Load Mgr helps the distribution flow continuous by organizing ready product with the transportation market. Maintaining strong relationships with carriers and transportation companies are a must. NA Logistics Truck Load Mgr must have a strong sense of business operations in order to make valuable decision for the good of the company. Logistics Manager is a strong communicator with a strong eye for detail.
Essential Functions

Coordinate with global forwarding services to efficiently manage deliveries with close monitoring of expedited shipments.
Collaborate directly with plant leadership to maximize routing guide compliance and performance.
Identify and communicate opportunities resulting from carrier non-compliance.
Develop and implement effective and efficient trans-loading programs.
Work with carriers and Safety Director to ensure all direct and indirect carriers meet the required DOT safety ratings, and carry the appropriate liability insurance. Monitor & enforce these requirements and provide quarterly performance reporting.
Manage fleet of 160+ trucks and 400+ trailers.
Work with plant leadership to develop buy or lease fleet strategy that brings the best overall performance and value to stakeholders and customers.
Develop, implement, and manage 500 mile regional/radius strategy.
Continuously implement shipping strategies and procedures
Negotiate rates with related carriers
Analyze the best mode to ship/receive product
Understand International Commercial Terms (Incoterms)
Audit and approve freight invoices as needed
Assist cross-functional teams with shipping related issues
Perform RFP’s to meet business needs while considering market trends and conditions.
Conduct QBR’s with key carriers and business partners.
Build, maintain, and manage business relationships with asset and non-asset partnered carriers, freight forwarders, 3PL’s.
Logistical responsibility for US, MX, CA. This includes truckload, rail, intermodal and trans-loading operations.
Main point contact for freight related carriers and services.
Address and resolve internal and external customer related freight issues.
Administer service provider website accounts.
Manage routing guides and maximize compliance performance.
Monitor carrier performance metrics and action accordingly
Continuously monitor service provider metrics and ensure the Approved Carrier mix is aligned with business needs.
Perform carrier due diligence.
Work with IT to improve/build process and tools with TMC, and ERP’s to provide efficiencies throughout the supply chain.

This position will have over 100 indirect reports and has the potential to manage a direct team to successfully execute Logistics needs of the business.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position is a largely sedentary role.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are decided by the hiring manager.
Travel
Travel would be minimal and primarily local during the business day.
Required Education and Experience
Work Experience: 5-10 years of related experience
Education: College Degree or work equivalent (over 10 years in field or apprenticeship)
Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems, understanding or experience with TMS’s
Organization Skills: Must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time, and keep track of important documents like pricing agreements, Certificates of Insurance, NDA’s, etc., and request updated forms close to expiration
Cross-functional skills: Ability to work with multiple team members from both within and outside of the organization together, and pull them in on the same project when necessary
Preferred Education and Experience
Manufacturing/industry experience.
Management/Leadership experience.
Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management.
10 + years of related experience
Computer Skills multiple ERP’s and / or D365 experience
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be able to pass E-Verify.
